Developers

We only work with developers who have previous experience in banking and in particular we like to work with people who have a risk background - especially credit risk - and Treasury and Money Market backgrounds.

Our developers are used to working to tight deadlines, using a mix of technologies and have positive attitude to help them get through inevitable sticky patches on projects. Our dominant working practices are agile with scrum and occasional bouts of XP. Must know OO, UML and Use Cases intuitively.

Business Analysts

A cornerstone service for our clients is the ability to provide an effective dialogue between business need and IT delivery. This is the secret to our success.

We only recruit business analysts who have experience in Credit Risk and Liquidity Risk - or Money Markets or Treasury experience as a proxy for Liquidity Risk. We have a mix of bankers and consultants, the main requirement being a no nonsense and practical focus on everything we do - we are the firm that gets stuff done.

Headline requirements

  • Degree from a good university in economics, mathematics, physics, engineering
  • Experience in at least one Credit or Liquidity Risk Project which lasted more than one year and was a success
  • Experience in using UML, Use Cases and related tools are essential
  • Natural communicators who can pitch their ideas at a senior level
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment - we don't do "waterfall"
  • Tell us what you are good at, we might have missed something

We work with a mix of permanent staff and contractors. Assignments are can be in the UK or overseas - particularly Europe. Language skills are a bonus, but not a pre-requisite.
